Hello. I am going to write about Japanese table games called Igo and Shogi. Why I chose this topic is I like Japanese cultures and I am very interesting about this. I can play Igo and Shogi but both are not so good at it. Here I am going to explain about what Igo and Shogi are.
First, Igo is very popular game in the world. Igo's table is made from wood and that is called GOBAN. The type of wood whick are using are Kaya, Shin-Kaya, Katsura, Ityou, Hinoki and Agachisu and is most expensive. Igo's stones are made from stone and that is called GOISHI. but some of them are made from shell. It is very rare and expensive. Most of Japanese think that Igo player is mostly older people but it is not. Igo is very easy rule but difficult to win.
Shogi is popular board game in the world too. It's may be more popular than Igo. Shogi's board and chess are all made from wood which are called Shogi-Ban and Koma. Shogi is easy game too.
Both games are popular in the world. Recently, there are Igo and Shogi are playing on the Internet. This is very fantastic because, it is not needed to go to the place and do not need to meet other people to play. I hope a lot of people will recognize Igo and Shogi are fun and looking forward to play the games!!!
